Pet Ag KMR (milk replacer powder for kittens) can be used as a partial or total replacement when mothers milk is inadequate, and can also be given to the mother during the last two weeks of gestation or early lactation for an additional nutrient source.

Contains L-arginine to prevent cataracts in newborns; powdered form mixes with water. KMR may be used to rehabilitate wildlife and simulates mothers milk for rabbits, porcupines, and bobcats. KMR now includes prebiotics and probitiocs for enhanced digestion.

Directions: Gently shake or stir one part powdered KMR into two parts warm water. A part is any measuring device you use: teaspoon, tablespoon, or cup. Do not use a blender. Feed kittens 2 tablespoons (30 mL) of liquid per 4 ounces (115 g) of body weight. The daily feeding rate should be divided into equal portions for each feeding. Note: All kittens should receive the queens milk for at least 2 days, if possible. This colostrum milk provides extra nutrition and temporary immunity against some diseases.

Great for older cats

I've used this for my older kitty, Mandi, who was dignosed with oral cancer in October of 2013 when she was 15 years old. At times, the cancer in her mouth has made it difficult for her to eat solid food and KMR has served as a great nutritional supplement to help keep her maintained. I mix the powder up with water and sometimes I add in just a splash of lactose free whole milk and she laps it up. Easy for me and for her! It's now been one year and eight months since we started this journey called cancer and against all odds, I still have my Mandi. She is now 17 years old.
